I've seen your Memoir 45 and Bob C's summary sheet of the various supplements. What I was looking for was using M44 as a set of miniatures rules; that is other than those supplied and working on a base rather than 4 individual figures. What I kept finding was variations on the normal game (Gaza 1917 for example), which while interesting wasn't what I was after. CnC Ancients or Nappys translate well from blocks to figures, you would expect M44 to translate better being a figure game to start with, but there's something a bit off that I can't quite get my head around.Neil Pattersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13565511145163341782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2410063836503200299.post-40639428095255695482018-06-04T01:37:49.265-07:002018-06-04T01:37:49.265-07:00I just googled for Memoir 44 alternate decks. Memoir 44 fanatic is pretty good:

https://memoir44fanatic.wordpress.com/

I have modified the standard game somewhat by incorporating a number of the unit types from the expansions, reducing ranged fire lethality (grenades only hit in close combat) and allowing units to battle back in close combat. The whole thing plays a lot more like the later Command and Colours games, so the games take longer and are a bit more forgiving, which seems to suit our group.Martin Rapierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16788664847205341619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2410063836503200299.post-42655790447155437492018-06-03T09:40:09.793-07:002018-06-03T09:40:09.793-07:00Martin,

As I said, I could have made my own deckd but the published cards are much more durable and aesthetically pleasing. It was fun to track them down. A local store came across some old M44 stock from another game stockist that was selling up and there were some nice bits of shrink wrapped items there … they didn't even get as far as the shelves as buyers were waiting in the wings.Normhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05031444717952755557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2410063836503200299.post-59054825218904663642018-06-02T16:36:32.947-07:002018-06-02T16:36:32.947-07:00The Winter War (well - Russian Front, anyhow, and ...The Winter War (well - Russian Front, anyhow, and it did have Winter War scenarios) supplements must be available somewhere: a friend of mine (Jacko) bought a copy online late last year (we played a couple of the scenarios).
Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.com
