As I was looking at some 1942 scenarios, I needed some 6pdrs for my British. BPM do them in resin, but the minimum order is two pieces. They are still vastly cheaper than metal equivalents though.
I ordered a pair of them as part of a larger order, but I only needed to paint one now. It is a nice clean print (partly as it resin, not APL), but perhaps a little plain. A huge bonus is that it is a single piece model, no fiddly assembly required.
Sorry, this photo is a bit blurry.
This one has come out better. You can see it is nicely proportioned, but there isn't any tread detail on the wheels etc. Unlike the BPM Pak 36, the trails are a sensible distance apart so they fit on my standard width bases.
The gun breech is nicely done. The gunners are Peter Pig AT gunners (the poses are all kneeling) plus the figure with binoculars from the Vickers Gun pack.
The whole thing looks very dynamic once based up and painted, very 'Snipe'.
I just did the gun in plain Light Stone and the crew in KD as they are all in shorts and shirtsleeves.
A nice easy addition to the army, and a piece I needed for a specific scenario, the Himeimat one featured on the blog a few months ago. I'll paint the other one up at some point, although hilariously when I came to play the game I didn't actually use this model but my SP 6pdr instead. . https://tgamesweplay.blogspot.com/2024/04/himeimat-august-1942.html
Nice workman like piece Martin.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the phantom "another Dorchester" post? ☺

Thanks. The other post was a slip of the finger. I have about 30 draft posts queued up at once and as I bash them out quite quickly they need editing for spelling mistakes etc I accidentally hit the publish button instead of editing it then reverted it to draft, but blogger treats the posts very weirdly once they have been published.
